I was planning to study in JP and then try to get an occupation somewhere there since I have already started learning the language but I've heard from friends that have visited it or ones that are living there that the Japanese people are very racist towards foreigners due to reasons like that they are very isolated from the world or they don't like foreigners cause they look different and more? and is Japan really one of the most peaceful advanced countries?

So please enlighten me as much as you can on this subject since I want to be completely assured if I will be safe when I go there
