That's what I was saying O: However, Mira is undoubtedly going to comeback to read these messages; I was just getting my last two cents out before we moved on (like Kyle did).

Nah, I was just being silly (and poking a little fun at how predictable Mira is)
To get back on subject;
I remember my own troubles with っ -- For a long time I thought it was the same as ー because I didn't have any audio to go with my first Japanese book and my primary source for listening to the Japanese language was music. But all to often in Japanese songs っ is sung as an extra vowel (i.e. だった sung as だあた) so that messed with my head for a long time; "So 4日(よっか) and 8日 (ようか) are pronounced the same!? Then you would only know what date it was if you read it! How do Japanese people know which is which in speech!?" Haha
So lessons learned, don't practice pronunciation from songs
