I would like to live and work in Japan as I have heard many good things. I would like to do the JET program TEFL job but I don't fulfill the requirements (for neither the British nor the German JET program). I am fluent in English and TEFL qualified here in the UK but as I am not a British citizen I cannot take part in it.
I have worked in database management for four years before I started my degree in the UK. It would be great if somebody could give me any advice on how to find work in Japan.

How is your Japanese level?
For you I would suggest student visa to get you here, (and study Japanese if you do not know any), then while you are studying get your resume and stuff together, start networking and look for a job. If somebody is interested in you they should be able to sponsor you for a work visa.
