Both sentences are correct, I think (correct me if I am wrong). But once again, what I would like to know is if there is any difference between using "高くて" and "高いので"?
The difference is minimum with 高くて being more informal and 高いので being more formal. No commas, please.

More importantly, did you have a reason to use が?
