I meant live with one, not exam or plant it into the soil and than left it behind, because having a bonsai means the first.
It's not that you must spend every minutes of your life with it, but if you consider that usually Bonsai makers either old or homemakers(who live or work at home) than you can get the picture: it probably needs time and peaceful lifestyle to be successful with it. - So I still recommend, if you can afford it, take a bonsai under your wings, and try to love it, it will 'thank' to you.
