I'd expect a mushy romance story. teen romance probably. or yeah, consensus from this end is 'sounds like porn' actually, with the 17 tag on it, sounds like 'barely-legal porn'. Or a 1980's puffed up glam rocker. It kind of sounds cheap, if you get my drift. Anything with 'vanilla' on the cover in my experience is usually paperback, gritty with the ghosts of old holidays, and winds up in a charity shop.
