The subject is the speaker. It isn't stated explicitly in the sentence. Remember は is not the subject particle. Nor is で. が is. It's not in this sentence because the subject is implied (in the same way as in English, "Go!" implies the subject "you").

ニューヨーク is merely the location. What grade are you in, or what is your native language? If you're a native English speaker, identifying the subject of a sentence is something you learn before eighth grade.
