Just in case anyone wants to know, we're using the Tobira textbook, and we're on chapter 6, which deals with religion. For most of the questions I have to explain a certain festival, and for a couple I just have to use multiple grammar points in a small story.
がつもうで > ??
初めの > 初めに
お寺の > お寺に
燃えられて > I won't tell. You correct it. Hint: One never says 「燃えられる」.
毎二月 > Unusual expression. Add a kanji somewhere.
覚える > English-speaking Japanese-learners' favorite mistake. If you have been taught it means "to remember", unlearn it. It means "to learn (and retain)". When it's in the form 「覚えている」, then it can mean "to remember". The word you're looking for is 「思いだす」.
こやのかね > Right kanji but wrong kana.
年の > Not entirely incorrect but unnatural. 一年の
日である > 日にある
前晩 > 前夜
坊(ぼう)さん > Kinda too colloquial. At least add the honorific お or replace the word by 僧侶.
108回に > Why に?
鐘を鳴る > Can't say this because 鳴る is an intransitive verb.
ことがある > Makes no sense. Use ことになる.

This is exhausting the old man. Hope someone takes care the second half.
