I have a Blackberry, and I mainly use it for getting in contact with people when I am not home as well as for emergencies. Last week my car broke down and I was stuck on the side, I was very thankful to have my phone with me. I don't think its necessary to have a phone if you use it to just listen to music or play games. But to each his own, I suppose.
