I awoke once again, angry at myself for falling asleep. I noticed Ichirin looking at me. I smiled, happy he was ok. "Ichirin...What you said before, about how your heart still lied with your parents...? I don't want to take your heart from them...I just want to love you. I'm willing to wait forever for your love in return..." He smiled. I was so glad that he understood what I was trying to say. I was glad that I understood what he was trying to tell me. Who am I to to try to tak him away from avenging his parents? Who is he to take me away from from avenging mine? We both want the same thing. We are just making the same journey together...misery does need company, and boy, do I have the best company in the world.

I kissed Ichirin and we stood, ready to go through the Great Canyon; together.
