I had no problem with my test, actually, but I did have to take the written portion twice. I've never been too good when it comes to numbers, and the questions that I messed up on were pretty much ones involving distance and numbers. I have the tendency of mixing them up.
As for the driving test, that was easy and I passed that on the first try. I'm more of a practical learner, I suppose, as it's easier for me to show I know something by doing it, as opposed to taking a test on it.
The only things I still have trouble with is backing into a parking space and parallel parking, but growing up in Richmond, parallel parking wasn't even necessary to learn. It also wasn't a requirement to pass the driving test, unlike my father who grew up in New York, and parallel parking was apart of their driving test because there are many places there where one has to parallel park. Backing up into a space either, just as long as you can park properly with whatever you feel comfortable with. I prefer pulling into a space as opposed to backing in. I just feel more comfortable that way.
