The beauty which is not influenced by the theory of (Yin-Yang and) the five elements.
"Red" is the color of Sanctuary, or the color of congratulation. Temples and shrines are painted with Chinese-red (vermilion) dye which is made from red hydrogen sulfide called "synsya". "Synsya" was said to have charm against evil- spirit as well as santi-septic action and insect-proof effect. Though oriental people like red color, we can find only a very few folklores about Red Dragon.
I think it is probably because the color RED is thought to be the color of Fire due to the theory of (Yin-Yang and) the five elements, though Dragon is thought to be the God of Water.
People have been loving Red Dragon even though there are very few folklores.
We often see ceramics which is painted the figure of Red Dragon. We often see Red Dragons at Jya-odori (Snake dance or Dragon dance) at a new year festival.
Don't you think that Red Dragon has the beauty beyond reasonable-description? Like the beauty of the power of live rising from deep inside our soul, when we see the body of Red Dragon which seems to be the aggressive fire.
(Sorry for my very poorly written English. )
