But Japan was an Imperialistic power at the time. I'm not too good on governments, so forgive me if I'm wrong here, but that would mean that even if Japan wasn't allies with Hitler, they still would have been a... dictatorship/communistic? I'm not sure if they're the right words to use at all, but I can't think of another word to describe it at the moment.
