I did a Psychology degree with a research element. Pretty much every time we did any kind of experiment we'd run a stats test on a gender variable just for kicks. We virtually never got any significant difference. Men and women actually work on very similar levels, we just have an incredibly biased perception of it and thus on our ability to judge the difference. And the gap is narrowing more and more as things get more equal.
