Also I suggest reading a book called
"Dogs and Demons" by Alex Kerr. I believe there was a Japanese national statistic in there about a large percentage of women ranging from 18-35 years old not working. The more likely ones to work were the ladies who went to elite universities, because it was the only way to put them at the same level as the working man.
So I say again, you can't make this comparison to women rights in the USA in 2011. Didn't we just have a women sue Toshiba America (president is Japanese of American branch) because there are no ladies in high positions?"
This would never happen in Japan, because even though it's a written law, there is no one in place to enforce it.
