'Hi' depends on time of day. Morning - 'Ohayo Gozaimasu', Afternoon - 'Konnichi wa' (can be used as general hello aswell), Evening - 'Konban wa', Goodnight - Oyasumi (nasai (polite if added)). For 'bye', 'Sayonara', or 'Shitsurei shimasu' if you want to be polite. I guess 'I can't wait to go', can be, '...(place).... Ikitaidesu', which is 'I want to go to' or the equivalent. E.g. Nippon Ikitaidesu = I want to go to Japan. I'm sure thats correct, but being a forum I expect some smart-arse to jump in & 'correct' me. lol
(I used the last phrase of Twitter, to which a number of my Japanese followers replied 'Come on then' & 'Ganbatte!')
