From what I understand, they sent the coolant but it wasn`t needed as Japan was able to get additional coolant there before it arrived.

We have been watching Japanese and American national news pretty much non-stop the last 24 hours, and I have not heard anything encouraging non-Japanese to leave the country. There was news of the first flight from Narita to Portland that landed today.

There was a lot of talk that the embassies of multiple countries had contacted registered residents in Japan to appeal to them to leave the country, and that they would help with securing transportation out. I don`t know if the US was one of the countries contacting residents.
