Hi there, for around 7 years now I have been wanting to pay an extended trip to Japan which could possibly end up in me living there on a permanent basis if all goes well.
I understand that it is not as simple as going, finding a job and living there - so I am asking if people who have made this move before could enlighten me on how it was done and what difficulties they faced during this process.

I am possibly looking at the teaching English side of things, but am very unsure where to start.

I have given myself 2 years, by which time I aim to be living in Japan and would like to start making preparations now.

Any help or suggestions would be very welcome.
