Nobody is in denial, everyone knows how bad this already is and how much worse it can get. The effort dump into it is to stop it from going to the WORSE end of the spectrum
All that we are saying is that, while there are people working hard to save the world, we shouldn't be sitting here spreading fear and panics. If people want to leave, then leave, but it shouldn't be an "Evacuation", because it is not necessary at this point, evacuating 70% of japan's population will be chaotic, definitely not something we need now if we can control the situation
