Look, I realize you think a certain way, and your entitled to that. However, consider this. The US after WW2 had 15 million men in the army and were the world's only superpower, everyone else was decimated. Now, if the US had been an evil empire incarnate..they would have pressured the USSR to obey them or "else". Made Japan and Germany States..Britan prolly too, for posterity. Controled China and turned them into a colony, as well as most of Africa. The South American continant would be part of the US as well as Mexico and Canada.
I know this because historically any nation and or dictator who felt he had the ability to do so ..took over everything possible.
What I'm trying to tell you is this. Sure the US seems large an imposeing, and it is to be sure. But most the time we are a bumbling giant who means well, we just do more damage than we mean too, cause we are too big for certain areas. We aren't the big bad empire, and I know the world is relieved that we aren't. Really, they are, because they know by rights we could have been if we had chosen to do so. We still could, so keeping the US as it is now is really paramount.
