Yea, Russia supplied North Vietnam far more than China. Vietnam was foobared because they didn't fight it the way they should have. The US too often fights with one hand tied behind it's back. The rules of engagement for vietnam were some of the most idiotic rules ever made.

Ronin, The US could have colonized China after ww2. They also could have colonized most of Africa, the Middle east and large parts of Europe. Since they won all that territory from the Germans and Japanese. Territory won is kept by empires, just look what Russia did after ww2. The US does't operate that way, it's why we didn't do what the USSR did after ww2.

Now trying to do so would be problamatic politically, though I still think we could defeat anyone out there militarily, if we put our full might behind it. As in vietnam, we dominated them on the battle field, it's the dumb politicans that "Lost" it. I can't account for politicians because most of ours are so corrupt it isn't worth haveing them. But I would have our military match up against anybody's on the planet.


Kozyra, Isreal defended itself against constant attacks from wackado terrorists, who hid behind women and children as they fired on Isreali troops, I have no sympathy for that kind of "bravery" at all. In fact, they keep fireing rockets into Isreal every day. The US wouldn't tolerate Mexico fireing rockets into Texas, I can tell you that. If Mexico had fired the number of rockets that Hamas and Hezbolah have, Mexico would end up being a colony. Isreal is being overly kind to people who want it destroyed.
