I am sure if you google you will find plenty of other famous--or infamous eccentrics.

I mean Real People--not fictional.

Oscar Wilde was born before his time. consider nowadays nobody would lift an eyebrow.

It was terrible what happened to him.

Personally I haven't come across many real old fashioned eccentrics with real original characters for ages.

Celebrities-- No-- they are all just wanting glory and anything for attention.

Ann Widdecombe is my idea of a genuine eccentric. Quentin Crisp was.

These days too many are influenced by the Media and those tabloid type TV programmes.

I find them tedious.
