I`m not a fan of popular Japanese programming (neither is my husband, who is 100% Japanese)... Nor am I a fan of popular US programming. So I simply don`t watch things I don`t enjoy. I don`t feel the need to bash either country`s programming because it is all down to taste.
That said - I find NHK documentaries to be top notch, below only those of BBC. (NHK often co-produces with BBC...) Occasionally there are good television series on, but I can`t really come up with one at the moment because I don`t really watch television to any real extent.

Of course I admit I could have been nicer in how I worded it. Sorry. Perhaps I should clarify, I do not watch Japanese TV anymore but someone I live with does, and I have to put up with it in the background, thus TV annoys me sometimes, but I am willing to deal with it because that is life and because it is the real world. On the internet and an anonymous forum, however, I sometimes feel like I can be a little more blunt, it is a nice place to vent. I know there are limits, and I do remember that I am talking to people, so believe it or not I try to hold back and "stay nice" on a lot of things.
In any case, I feel it is a little extreme to get worked up and take personally somebody's opinion about something as trivial as television.
The second poster called american TV rubbish.. did I feel like I needed to jump down his throat about it? No, it is his opinion and he is welcome to it. Bottom line it's just TV, no need to take someone else's opinion about it like it's a personal attack.

That is a great I idea. Honestly I could care less what a person like you thinks about me. And I know this is just your way of doing a silly power play. But you have proven yourself to be a hypocrite and quite rude to others for no good reason and somebody whose posts I do not care to read. Other than what you write in the language parts you bring nothing to this forum. So good-bye and good riddance.
