As for "団", I apologize for not being clear; I was at a break at work. The background is that I talked to my dad over the phone; he was in the US Military Intelligence Service and is able to read the old Japanese without any hesitation AND knows military terms even after all these years. Guessing, I was asking him for the military term for "brigade" or "division" and he said "shidan" using 団. My apologies.
