I understand how you felt with "the stares".

When I was in Japan, crowds of women would stare, following me wherever I went -- cheering, highfiving, and whistling at me saying "come here white boy"

It was terrible so I decided to go back home to the United States where I can be ignored by all women again and I feel great!

::edit: I suppose i SHOULD put something worthwhile in here. lol On a serious note about the staring: Maybe they liked you, maybe they hated you, maybe they were just curious, maybe they wanted to go on a date with you (NOT sex as was previously alluded too in other posts), or maybe..they DID want to have sex with you. If you don't try to introduce yourself, smile, wave, show any kind of interest then you'll never know. Men are afraid to approach women in America and don't get anywhere (hey i'm with you i'm afraid of women they ARE scary i.e. pointed teeth, long claws, etc you know what im saying) and you probably won't get too far with a Japanese girl you like in Japan since they probably won't come up and initiate a conversation with you (besides they are probably shy about their anglish anyway)

There ARE a lot of probablys in that last paragraph though so there is a small chance I probably don't have any idea what im talking about
