About the problem of deciding where to live... (a little off topic, sorry, but seems as Nyororin mentioned it on this thread, I'll ask here)
I would have thought that that wouldn't be that big an issue... I mean, if the foreigner goes to Japan for a long period in the first place, then surely he/she must be open to the idea of living in Japan, especially if he/she goes as far as committing to a relationship.
I may just be saying this from the kinds of people I encounter on the internet who really want to live in Japan, but still, I wouldn't have thought that the foreigner would go to all that trouble of getting into a relationship in another country... blind to the fact that he'll/she'll have to go through a heck lot more trouble deciding where to live, if they don't even plan on staying in Japan!

I don`t get why people can`t just be attracted to PEOPLE and not race or nationality, but apparently this is not something that they think about. I certainly wouldn`t have turned my nose up at my husband if he had been some other race or nationality.
