In Europe, when the say fooball, they usually mean soccer, the stuff from the US is referred to as American Football.
There's also Aussie rules football ( kind of a blend of rugby and American football ), but that would only add to the confusion  |
I think he understands that.... He is asking why they call it that way in Japan. Japan doesn't have the problem the US has, where another sport is already called that.
I don't know why they call it soccer there.
