well I stil llove snail mail. Really miss the suspense when expecting a very special letter from someone very special.
I used to have penfriends from around the world-- started when I was in the Brownies as a young girl/. We received food parcels from Canada after the war and I had Canadian pen friends.
Also had British Forces Penfriends-- when National service was the norm.
Yes I still like snail mail when its someone special.
also not everyone had a telephone-- so letters were the main way to communicate and keep up to date.
