information after those 400 years is preserved once you die. let's just say from moment you die, the previous years of your life can still be analysed since your body doesn't regenerate once you are dead. that is why information is preserved and dead people can tell a lot of stories.
however, for live people the limit is still 10 years, in reality probably some 5 or 6 from which you can gather accurate data.
