It is on the wrong side; good eye. But I actually forgot how to put it on because I hadn't worn one in a long while (long while as in almost 20 years). But it's not a kimono; it's a yukata. And sure, I'm Japanese, but I was born in the US. I was asked what
ethnicity I was, so I stated Japanese, but I'm American. It doesn't mean I know everything Japanese-related. I hardly, if not never use chopsticks, for example. That's why I'm on this forum; to learn more about my heritage. Also, I don't have any tattoos on my wrist; only on my forearm and up.
