You're right it should probably be 'I' as you said, but I thought grandparents in English speaking countries might also refer to themselves as granmps etc when talking to youngster that are dear to them. Although maybe that's just to really small kiddies, like ("Watch while you nana bakes you a cake" or something.....) I don't know. And yeah you're right about mikata. I forgot to point that out before......
