I am also looking for a teacher. I figured it would be a good idea to see if anyone had any threads like this already instead of adding more. A friend of mine tried teaching me a few times, he was a good teacher, but at the time I didn't take learning very seriously. Right now I'm teaching myself from some random books and stuff I got on my computer >.>;. Some of them have examples and practice problems but some of them don't come with answers, and maybe I want more than five question and answer segments. Maybe I want to see some real life situations and everything. Anyway, right now i'm using Genki I, I'm on lesson 4 (So you have a good idea on what I know for the most part). The kanji is giving me a hard time for the most part, and in the book most of it is "partner" work. I suppose I just need someone who would work with me, maybe start talking to me in Japanese as we go along, to get me used to actually see it more often. I promise i'll work hard. I am in college right now, so i have a good bit of free time on my hands. I'm on the East Cost of the US, so i'm in EST time zone (Not sure what that is GMT, because they don't teach us GMT in America =.= (at least where I grew up at)) If you're interested in teaching me, reply back o.o. I could leave details (email, IM, Facebook) but I'm not sure if that is allowed so...yeah XD
