I'm living in CA and I see Japanese shows using these really nice intelligently built Barbecues. They are rectangular built with small grill mess so food doesn't fall thru. They have stands to raise the cooking level to waist high but the charcoals are very close to the food - about grill to charcoal grate is 5 inches so less charcoal is needed.

Here in CA we basically have Weber and all its copycats! Webers are fine for big American style barbecues but are really heavy and inefficient for Japanese style outdoor grilling.

company names , product names would be great.

Anyone bought one in U.S.?
