Oh it does exist. The vast bulk of the so called scientists have nothing to do with climate science though. Most are MD's, veterinarians or engineers. Supposedly a few thousand of them do have climate science related qualifications but how many of these actually have post graduate qualifications and actual experience working in climate research isn't entirely clear. The petition has come under repeated criticism for having duplicated names and people listed who do not have the qualifications they claim. The one Ryzorian is talking about is a US based one. There are others out there.
Still from research done it is clear that at least 95% of those who are directly involved in climate science research support the theory of AGW. That's about as close to a consensus as you could get I reckon.

One of the things that I really love on their site is the 'Summary of Peer-Reviewed Research' section.
It shows just one 'scientific' paper. Yep just one. And let's look at it. Who is the principal author? Arthur B. Robinson. Funnily enough the same guy who started the petition. He is the founder of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine. He has a doctorate in chemistry. All sounds incredibly impressive doesn't it? The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM) is a non-profit organization. It is a private research institute that studies biochemistry, diagnostic medicine, nutrition, preventive medicine and the molecular biology of aging. Now I'm not sure how any of this relates to climate science. Well it's pretty clear that none of it does. If you read about him on wiki you'll see he's been involved in some pretty weird stuff and that he is funnily enough the editor and publisher of a newsletter called Access to Energy. And guess what he doesn't believe in the science of global warming!! Who would have guessed that!! It's laughable. And where was this groundbreaking paper that debunks the science of global warming published? In a medical journal. Let's just be clear as well that it wasn't published as a scientific paper but as a review.

And this is the sort of 'science' that Ryzorian puts so much faith in. It's just sad.
