Not to mention the most famous ナオミ of all, the woman in the novel 知人の愛 by 谷崎潤一郎! But that character was named that as a reference to the Western name. I wonder if the name existed as a Japanese name before the novel came about! My wife's name (Jessica) didn't exist until Shakespeare invented it.
