I did NOT say that. I was taking about my English-as-a-foreign-language learning. In every language, kids know where the accent is on the words s/he knows before starting school.

So I just always assumed Japanese was taught the same way outside of Japan. At least, that is how I would teach Japanese if I were to teach it as a foreign language.
