Well, without all these "new wankers" this website would hardly be getting any activity at all.
And I've failed to see how this question is stupid, unless the asker wasn't being genuine about it, and was only asking because he wanted to complain about it, though I don't believe that's the case. Its a question about the country's culture. There isn't anything wrong with that.
