「おはよう、お兄ちゃん」 is something we would rarely say. It is 「お兄ちゃん、おはよう。」. It is "Name/title first, greeting last" over 95 % of the times.
と言われる妹 means the sister is told something by someone. What you want to say is that you want her to say something to you, isn't it? We would say it ~~と言ってくれる妹.
ほしい, though it is kind of OK, is not the best word here. ほしいと思っている or ほしいと思ってきた would sound much better because you have been thinking that way all these years.
We are taught to write こども in kana in Japanese schools.
