When I was about 11 I saw Akira on a bootlegged video someone got from someone who got from someone else. I was astonished I had never seen a "cartoon" that had blood, violence, ....anything cool in it before.
I still can't understand why the west dose not realize the market out there and start creating some non-disney "Cartoons"
I watched Akira after readign this post to bring back some good 'ol memories
