Been here for 4 years now & every year I've been here it has rained on average every other day from March to October. Yes that is about 6 and a half months. It is raining as I type surprise surprise. I have no complaints as I love rain. It's so emotionally charged.
In Japan though the official rainy season is June/July (just 2 months you'll notice, not the actual 6 months of pissing it down)
It's always great when you tell a Japanese person that you think it rains a lot in Japan. 99% of the time you have this half shouted response
"ONLY IN RAINY SEASON"
I always wonder if they can sense the rain that is pouring around them for most of the year. I mean they are always carrying umbrellas.
