For me the japanese theme

Im pretty neutral on the theme song subject because some anime theme songs are actually half english (try Heroes Comeback, the naruto shippuden 1st op) but if i were pushed a bit i'd chose japanese.
P.S. Some non-genuine manga is read left-right, ask your whacked out friend to try those. |

It depends on the setting of the anime. If there's a distinct Japanese feel to a show, then it'd make sense for it to have a Japanese theme. However, for an anime such as Cowboy Bebop, an English theme works very well.
