Yaoi vs. Yori
 

Okay, I'm a guy so of course my opinion is that Yori is *ahem* far more superior to Yaoi. but I would like to know, what do you all think. do you prefer, Yaoi, or Yori, and why.

Love Them Both But Love Yaoi More Becuase Guy On Guy Is Just Soooooooooo Hot

I'm fine with Yaoi's existance, but as far as I'm concerned, Yori (wasn't it Yuri?) is far better. Course, I'm a straight man, so...My opinion may be a bit biased, in the sense that I think two girls is far more fun to watch than two guys >.>

well i perfer yuri it is very awesome because im getting bored of the whole boy meets girl, falls in love with girl stuff. i perfer the girl meets girl , girl rapes girl, and finnally both girls fall in love

I like Yaoi best, but then again I am a straight girl.:D I've never really cared for Yuri until a friend slipped Simone into my pack. It's ok, but I still like yaoi better.

Yuri... Means "lilly", iirc.

Can't say I've ever actually looked at yaoi or yuri manga... I've seen anime that was yuri (Strawberry Panic), but that's about it. Well, Zero no Tsukaima did have one Yuri scene in it, but then it also had a hetero S/M scene XD .

I like guy on guy action more than yuri for I like boys and is tired of the same old drama of the same old crap of girl and guy and it's just tiresome to keep watching and reading manga that envolve the same outcome. I watch R-girl Utena and it was confusing cause I didn't know what was going on.

I'm a bisexual female so you think I'd like yuri more but I actually prefer yaoi - go figure! I also like the standard guy+girl stuff, too. I must just be a fan of romance in general.

I wonder--is there not a typical boy+boy/girl+girl formula? Won't you eventually get tired of that? Since I don't read any manga at all (I watch anime), I wouldn't know a thing about yaoi/yuri story lines :P , but I would think that the same plagues of regular fare effect the less conventional?

In my opinion, yuri is not "better" or "worse" than yaoi, or the other way around. If you're a straight guy, you're not going to understand why straight girls or gay guys like it because... well, you don't like guys. (That said, not every straight girl likes yaoi). Also, if someone were to look at yuri and not be attracted to it because they didn't like girls, then they're just not going to like it. It all depends which gender you like ~ !
