i should mention something that i forgot to earlier. this is not going to be a remake,spielberg said in an interview that when he saw the original he came up with an idea of a follow up. this is to be an entirely original story featuring just one or two of the original characters but mostly a bunch of new ones!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Batou and Motoko, they're my favs from GITS.

that would be great,to be honest the inclusion of any of the characters would be great for me.GITS was the first feature length anime i ever saw and is still my favourite
