A serious, natural anime show?
Does anyone know of any anime show that doesn't involve anything supernatural/surreal, and that isn't a comedy? To let loose, it's alright if there is SOME supernatural to it, but rather have the story revolve around characters maybe? .hack//SIGN was appealing in one way because it was all in a computer game but 99% of the show was in "The World" and the anime didn't reflect an MMORPG very well.
I might be looking for something that doesn't exist, but it would be fun to watch something different. So far, the anime shows I've watched fully are: Digimon (season 1) Scryed Samurai Deeper Kyo Love Hina Trigun Final Fantasy: Unlimited .hack//SIGN |
There are many, you have for example Beck, Flag, Hajime No Ippo, Tokyo Tribes 2 or Wangan Midnight. This are the ones on the top of my head.

Haven't seen too many people talk about Tokyo Tribes. :) GTO is good as well. Along with Shonan Junai Gumi.

Tokyo Tribes 2 is very good, but it is being underlooked.
As for GTO, I doubt that it is a serious anime, but I have heard many positive remarks. |

I suggest Elfen Lied. Is has some surreal elements but the storyline and development of characters is superb.
