do you buy dvds/manga used?
 

many stores are offering trade-in value for used dvds.i know many used book stores have a bad rep here.but i hear used japanese book stores are better.they buff the edges of the books and clean them. good luck.:vsign:

I love buying used anime. So much cheaper. About 85% of my DVDs are used and a lot of my manga I get for free from people and I use coupons on EVERY book I buy.

So, I'm good at this thing called "saving" money. :)

It depends. If its a manga that I'm collecting because I really like it, then I like to buy it new. When I'm trying something I'm unsure about, getting it used doesn't bother me. With anime it doesn't matter so much, but I always worry about getting a scratched disc.

Hmm, I always buy my anime/manga brand new from the stores. Does cost more but I like to be the first one to touch it's newness.

Haha yeah that's how I feel with the manga I collect. Just makes it feel more like it's mine.

I'm the same way. but just as you said, (but in my own words of course)if it's one I'm seeing if I'll like, used is fine.

It depends. I will buy games used, but not DVDs - then again, I rarely buy DVDs at all unless it is something I REALLY want and then obviously I want it new.
When it comes to manga, if it`s something older I will buy used. But if it`s fairly new it`s usually impossible to find used even if I were to try.

i get most of my manga/anime from eBay, so most of it is used. but lately with my Bleach anime i've been getting from Amazon, so it's new. i guess it just depends on how much i like the series, and if i'm willing to pay more for it to be new

I buy NEW, USED, and download. When i buy used i ask to see the disk before buying, never had a problem yet with used anime. I remember buying Howls moving castle used for $9 and across the street another store had it for $22 and another store for $28.

I buy both, but always used if I think it's still in good condition and the used price isn't just a tiny bit less than the new copies.

It doesnt really matter to me, just as long as it looks good really. I buy most of my manga used from various bookstores in town but online I use Amazon.com ( I usually spend $5 per book) or Borders.com Marketplace. As far as DVD Anime I use sundevildvd.com and animexland.com...both are GREAT quality for a REALLY good price! :) :rheart:

I'll buy any manga used if I can find it for a good price (in other words if I'm in either Japan or Vancouver), but I'm willing to buy the newest tankabon for the full price cause Im kinda impatient and I can't wait to read it (especially if its a series that hasn't been scanlated yet, togari rocks!!)

I plan on buying Variable Geo used since it is impossible to find new
