Hi all,
This is my first proper post here. Ive only recently got into Manga, and I'm currently reading Death Note, which I'm hugely enjoying. I work in a book shop, and we stock a fair bit of Manga, so I get to enjoy my staff discount on it! :D

I was wondering if anyone can give me any recomendations as to what to read next, in a similar darker theme as Death Note, but any help would be much appreciated.

What to watch, what to watch...

Good day to all! I have been out of the Anime field for a few years now and I have no idea on what to watch. I used to watch all sorts of Anime when I was younger; but now I have no idea on whats out nowadays. I am not very interested in High School Life + Romance. I love an Anime which has very distinguished characters and a pretty good story line. One of the few reasons why I am not interested in High School Life and Romance because (In my opinion) it has been done too often and some can be very predictable. Also, most of the characters can be just a tad bit annoying and hardly have character depth.

I have been reading Pandora Hearts manga and it is pretty good so far!

If anyone can suggest Anime or Manga that is a diamond in the rough then please.. share with me.

You're looking for not commercially-popular series, right? As far as manga, I highly recommend both The Embalmer by Mitsukazu Mihara and Demon Flowers by Hakase Mizuki. Demon Flowers has 5 volumes, and The Embalmer has five and is still on-going. Demon Flowers is about this demon who falls in love with this half-angel even though he was supposed to kill him, and they live in hiding together until the demon's dad comes after him. (someone can correct me if my summary is wrong, it's been a while since I read it) The Embalmer is, as you can guess, a story about the life of an embalmer.

apart from bleach (which is in its 10th season so maybe hard to catch up) a new one is 07-ghost its quite good i'm really enjoying it.

I'm preferred manga over anime because the manga's story longer than anime except bleach and naruto.......I'm prefer anime when it's still don't have any manga episode....

I liked skip beat but havent had a chance to really sit down and wtach anything but eyeshield 21 which is a decent anime.

Tegami Bachi looks pretty good. The animation is smooth as silk and the character designs look the same as they do in the Manga. Also, the storyline of the anime is exact to the manga. I would HIGHLY suggest this anime if you're a fan of Tegami Bachi or like a cute, simple storyline with TONS of adventure and action. Tegami Bachi was actually rated as one of THE best mangas of 2006.

I was looking for a new manga, but it was difficult to find someone I liked, so I was wondering if someone could please recommend some. I especially like the ones with vampires (like Black Blood Brothers or Vampire Knight), but I didn't find Black Blood Brothers online, just in anime. I also don't like so much when there is too much nakedness and things like that :o so that makes it a little bit difficult to find vampire mangas.

I say the classic mangas are sometimes the best. You know... the ones with the sparkly eyes and upperlips? I mean stuff like

The list can go on forever, but these are just the shoujo stuff. But don't you think these mangas are more... I don't know, let's say a little more original than the modern stuff? It seems like all the plots have become the same like indie band music... The queen of shoujo manga is Ms Riyoko Ikeda of course, she was fabulous

Evangelion was the first anime i ever watched that gave birth to this anime fan :) after this awesome anime i have to quote twice CLANNAD + CLANNAD AFTER STORY all being shouted as it has a really, really, really awesome plot and is very well-made and Code Geass.

these 3 are TOP 1 in my list.

Toradora, Heroic Age, School Days, Hell Girl and Death Note are TOP 2 in my list.

and my TOP 3 goes to:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (way better then first version the history from the manga view wow...)

Full Metal Alchemist

I am had no idea that Square Enix was part of Full Metal Alchemist. Just got done last week watching all the 51 episodes and the feature anime movie. Really is a cool story of magic plus history mixed in there.

Now to find the games and play them too.

Now is Durarara and Working.
I am a big fan of seiyuu (C.V)
Those anime have my favourite seiyuu.
Their story are special. Em..fma(Full Metal Alchemist) is my favourite too.But I prefer to wait until it finished.Because I have read the manga,though not as fas as the anime (I have not read the manga for many months ORZ)
Fma have my favourite seiyuu too like Paku Romi,Miyano Mamoru and Mizuki Nana. They will be my favourite seiyuu all the time. And for favourite Anime now and forever is Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X). Kenshin wa ichiban desu. = =
