Help Please!!! I cant find the name to this anime!!! -

It was about people who lived in an apartment, and there was a company that was shady, and either the people who lived in the apartment were trying to stop the company or save the girl who was supposely an robot who was living in this apartment....
now I know this sounds crazy, but this is all my mom she thinks she watched an anime that had some plot line like this. So please anyone who thinks they might know the name to this anime, or anything that sounds like it, please reply or pm me... Thank you, every so much....
