Take the Chuunin Exam fights of Gaara VS Lee and Gaara VS Sasuke, Lee and Sasuke's speed was able to overcome Gaara's sand, Sasuke was too far away and couldn't make it in time... Haku has the speed and those needle things, forgot the name, and could throw one or more of them to edge into the Sand Cacoon before it fully completes if need be... I'm going to try to get my point across, but if I fail, oh well

i knew they cant be melted, but remember when naruto went all demon fox the mirrors all smashed. Gaara has one of the best defense's remember that he has the sand armour so even if he gets hit nothing will happen except it hits the armour but it wont break just crack a bit, maybe. Gaara would win in the end but i think it would be really close!

I forgot about Naruto going Nine-Tailed on him, oh well

The sand armour takes chakra right? So if Haku keeps pounding away at it, Gaara will be drained eventually, then at the same time he could use any remaining chakra to release Shukaku... I'm trying to go on both sides right now because yes it would be close

I mentioned those throwing needles before, and here I go again.... What if Haku cracked the armour and then threw one in a crack? Couldn't he hit Gaara then? Of course Gaara has Sand Clones, too, so that could complicate things....

They both have their chances, though Haku's may be slimmer, I still think he can pull of something

oh dont get me wrong haku is one of my favs and with his demonic ice mirrors he would make gaara think and give him the runaround, but gaara's jutsu are to damn brutal, i mean look at how awesome Rock Lee is and he still lost * you dont know pissed I was cause i wanted Lee-san to win so badly* but yeah Gaara's a freakin monster when it comes to battle.:mad:

Which is exactly what makes him so badass. His moves are awesome, and the names of his attacks are even cooler. I love how he can utilize the sand so well that it is like water. He'd also be good with water attacks. He's just got so much Chakra and skill.

Eh, Lee would've won if he wouldn't have been so stupid to do that Fifth (Or was it Sixth?) Gate of Joy thingie and wasted away his body

Speaking of Gaara, and I hate to ask on this thread because it may start something else, but did he make the Play Possum Jutsu? I don't see any real usage of the jutsu to normal shinobi.... But to Gaara it would prove useful in case of emergency like he did against Naruto and Gamabunta (That is his name, right?)

GAARA! Gaara all the way! I'll scream it till I'm hoarse Gaara! because even if Haku used Hijitsu: Makyou Hyoushou, Gaara might be attacked by needles because of their speed but Gaara would then do one of two things, Use Ryuusa Bakryuu and plug Haku with sand and then of course Sabaku Taisu would take care of the rest... if not Gaara would simply turn into shukaku and the needles would be useless coz shukaku would hardly feel them and one blast of fuuton: renkudan would take Haku out like he was a baby trying to fight a bull elephant
