Miyazaki is a God
 

It's hard to pick a favorite. They're all equally brilliant.

I hate the way Studio Ghibli is referred to as the "Disney of the East". Ghibli films are far superior.

There's something magical about Miyazaki's work. And the attention to detail is phenomenal. He clearly puts his heart and soul into it.

The scene in My Neighbour Totoro with the girls and Totoro at the bus stop is possibly the best sequence ever committed to film. Oh and then comes the Catbus.

It's been said that Miyazaki is in retirement, but Newtype has an inside scoop that he is working on something new after returning to his studio...Has anyone else read that?

So true. I mean Disney copy stuff so much and twist it around to their own ends. Granted its for kids but whatever.
Even The Lion King was an Anime made by Osama Tezuka called Kimba the White Lion. (the same guy who created Astro Boy, i.e. Grandfather of Anime ;o)
Miyazaki also says he's an actual Director first, not just a Producer like Walt Disney was, so people can't really compare the two.

I love watching them both, along with princess mononoke

ahh spirited away is opne of my favorite movies. i cant find it anywhere. and its not on tv much. but i love it. i like the topic/plot and everything. its really good.

spirited away is really good (but kaonashi scares me hehe)
and i dunno... howls moving castle is pretty weird

Spirited Away is constantly on the school channels up in Flagstaff, so I'm trying to get away from it right now, lol. Howl's Moving Castle=extraordinary and amazing. Has to be one of my favorite anime films.

And Howl is just so adorable! :3 even with the dark hair ;)

Howls is not as impressive as Spirited Away, in my opinion of course. I have watched Spirited Away over 20 times lol..
