I wouldn't recommend:

Evangelion: gets way too weird at the end half
Gantz: Everyone seemed unimportant or uninteresting
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien: irritating story!! Although some like this, I understand
Ai yori Aoshi: Watered down Love Hina
Kurokami: Butchered every good part of the manga! Purposefully...
Ohran Koko Host Club: Too much pink kills brain cells

There are more, but I can't remember their obscurity.

Yeah, its realy hard to see it if your a soft-hearted. It realy blows your mind with tragedy and high dramatic scenes...
